I wanted to take an opportunity to share about the season we are in. The season we are in is an opportunity to be intentional. Each of us have opportunities and resources to make changes in our lives that we’ve needed to make.

I feel like that’s what this blog is about- being intentional and looking back at the things we can be grateful for in the hard seasons. And looking ahead with purpose to keep our attitude and posture grateful as we go through our days and weeks, months, and years.

All those things have a cumulative affect that will change our lives. I want to tell you about what I’ve been grateful for this past week: family and down time. It’s so nice to unplug and be present with my husband and kids. Even though things might look different than previous years and seasons, that doesn’t mean there aren’t things we can be grateful for.

I wanted to encourage you wherever you are at, whether you’ve had a really great week or a really hard and depressing week, take time to sit for the next few minutes and reflect on the past week and see if there is something that you can choose gratitude in. Even if it was a hard circumstance, God is faithful in the storm. I encourage you moving forward this week, find something to be grateful in.

It helps to look outside of ourselves and to think about how we can be a blessing to other people around us.  Galatians 6:10,  tells us take every opportunity to be a blessing to others. And I love that The Passion Translation says,

“Take advantage of every opportunity to be a blessing to others, especially to our brothers and sisters in the family of faith!”

Whatever you are facing, I hope you can look back on your week, and choose to praise God in the storm. And in this next week I encourage you to read and memorize Galatians 6:10, and find a way to be a blessing to someone else. So let’s live in gratitude this week and look forward with intention. We need that time to recharge, reflect, pause and be open to the Holy Spirit and what He is doing.

We may not be grateful for every situation, but we can be grateful in every situation.
